Greetings From the Business Association

By: Michael Stead

Welcome back class of 2012/2013! We at the Concordia Business Association (CBA) are extremely excited for the upcoming school year and have major plans to make this the year to remember. I would like to start off by introducing you to this year’s executives.

CBA President: Tara Lyon

Tara is currently in her fourth and final year at Concordia in the Management program. She spent last summer completing her practicum at Alberta Treasury Branches’ Corporate Learning Center as a Human Resources Learning Coordinator. Early on in her educational career she recognized her passion for Human Resources and for people in general, and therefore, she has made the decision to pursue an HR emphasis as part of her degree.

Tara is also this year’s student mentor for all first year management students as part of the First Year Learning Community—a program designed to assist first years in their transition into post-secondary learning. If you are a first year management student, we highly recommend you looking into this program.

Tara brings extensive management experience to the CBA and has great visions for the future of our association. Tara is very excited for the upcoming school year and welcomes any Management students interested in becoming a general counsel member. If you wish to contact Tara, you can reach her by e-mail at cba@student.concordia.ab.ca
