First, we will delve into my life, aren’t you excited? I am a Management student here at Concordia in my second year. I have a younger brother and a younger sister, a wonderful girlfriend and an amazing job here in the CSA. I enjoy skiing in the winter and lifting weights in the gym. Since the break has started I have put on a few pounds so if anyone has made it a new years resolution to get in shape, give me a call and we will head over to the free fitness center across the field.
Vice President of Marketing for the Concordia Students’ Association- I am very proud of that title. I am even more proud to be apart of such a positive force within our institution. I was unaware of the impact that a Student Association can have on the lives of its students before I was a member of the CSA; whether it is an Ugly Sweater Contest, or sitting on the Board of Governors for the University. The job isn’t without its rewards either; being involved in student leadership has helped me grow as an individual, and as a member of such a great team. I can honestly say that when I graduate from university, I will have learned so many life skills and lessons that cannot be taught in a lecture hall.
For the last semester I have been working on a little project. It is called ourcsa.ca and it is finally here! If you haven’t checked out our new website, now is the time. It will give you some insight into the operations of the CSA as well as information on events, clubs and associations that you can become involved in.. On January 24 we will be holding our official Glitter and Gold Launch Party for the website. We formally invite you to put on that dress, button up that shirt and join us at the Mile High Club 10740 Jasper Ave. This will be a private function where we will be counting down the official launch of ourcsa.ca! Tickets will be sold in the bookstore for $10 each. A token of our appreciation will be given to those very important people who buy their tickets within the first two weeks back from the break.
I am very excited to share in the adventures that we have together this semester and I hope to see you all soon.
